    Electric temperature controlled  16 mm Twin Screw Extruder on a PolyLab OS docking station using CANopen bus for communication with PolyLab and automatic recognition of connected peripherals.



    Modular co-rotating 16 mm twin screw extruder with an ( L/D ratio of 25:1 L/D)  (extendable to 40:1 with the XL barrel extension). The barrel is horizontally split with a lift-off top for 16 mm screws and a  barrel to be opened horizontally for ease of cleaning, simple removal of the screws  and visualisation of the melting process. The segmented top barrel part is built with modules to be reconfigured by the user. 4D barrel segments are available for feeding solids, liquids and for venting. Secondary feeders and vacuum pumps can be integrated into the system. The screws are segmented and have a simple removal device for cleaning and reconfiguration of the elements.

    It is designed for compounding and blending of small quantities of thermoplastic polymers and other materials with already 50 grams and output rates of up to 10 kg/h.

    Via horizontal and/or other liquid feeding devices various additives can be fed into the melt along the barrel (split feeding). Segmented screws allow customization for specific application.
